Cloud-based traffic management system integrates automotive data with its machine learning algorithms to reduce congestion and enable safer driving globally
HERZLIYA, ISRAEL, November 21, 2019 – Otonomo, the leading Automotive Data Services Platform, today announced that Waycare is using its car data to make driving safer. Otonomo provides Waycare with unique and normalized car data, which is used in machine learning and AI models and provided to traffic management agencies in real-time.
Otonomo provides Waycare with two types of car data. The first is an anonymous, real-time feed of the actual speeds and locations of drivers. This type of data enables Waycare to learn the congestion and the traffic patterns of the roads. The second type is safety event insights. Data attributes like harsh brakes, harsh acceleration, erratic driver behavior, and crashes, provide real-time traffic management wisdom.
Data from connected cars is secured, cleansed, reshaped, enriched and optimized for application usage and delivered in high granularity. As a result, Waycare is relieved from the tedious job of normalizing multiple datasets from many OEMs, as well as the legal aspects of working with them.
